Lent: With One Voice

DAY 3 OF 46

WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS?

It was probably the question the people were asking amongst themselves after witnessing Jesus’s teachings and miracle works. They were amazed by Jesus’s life! As we read through the scriptures, Jesus, at various times, taught about power and authority. He was demonstrating how we, as God’s people, can live and operate in the power and authority He has given to us. Jesus died on the cross and defeated the works of the enemy so that we can live the life He has promised us, with His power and authority. We do this guided by the Holy Spirit, consulting with others and with proper humility before God.

Today, you don’t have to live in fear or defeat; you have God given authority in your hands to change. Exercise it in all areas of your life. Use it today and see the power of God flow through life!

FOR REFLECTION
• Are you led by the circumstances of your life?
• Are you tired of trying, breaking free, going through the same things over and over again?
• Pray that God will enable you to make that change today, to allow his power to flow through your life.

PRAYER
Jesus, I thank You for the power and authority You’ve given me. I take authority over every area of my life, and I thank You that Your Holy Spirit’s power is working in and through me. My life will never be the same again, in Jesus's name!
