6 Days Of Esther

DAY 2 OF 6

Esther was challenged by Mordecai to take a risk; he asked her to consider something purposeful in regard to being chosen as queen: “Who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?” He wanted her to see that an otherwise difficult and unpleasant situation could simply be the staging area for God to do some of His best work.

Risk-taking is faith-action; it’s based on the glory of God and consistent with the Word and will of God even when you don’t quite see where you are stepping. It’s taking a risk knowing that God’s kingdom is worth taking a risk for.

Consider the life and work of Martin Luther King. He took a risk in a bad neighborhood. He took a risk under great oppression and rejection. He chose to lead the Civil Rights Movement that would forever change the laws of our land, but he also built relationships between the races in spite of the atmosphere of the nation at the time.

When you take a risk on God, you’re taking a risk worth taking. And when you are doing it because you have been called to the kingdom, called to His rule and His purpose, then there are eternal benefits to taking such a risk.

So, if you’re going to take a bet, bet on God because He is worth the risk.
