Don't Panic - This Is Only A Test
It can be very exciting when you believe God is giving you a glimpse of your future. It’s like a shot of adrenaline to our souls. Now, because it’s human nature, our minds somehow can take that small glimpse and lay out a complete roadmap to the destination. The only problem with that is our minds never factor in the possibility of hitting detours, roadblocks or major setbacks on our way to a glorious destination. In other words, it’s so easy to take that small glimpse and envision our journey being easy and pain free.
Make no mistake about it, God does have a great plan for your life. He wants to take you from where you are to where He wants you to be. However, God’s roadmap to success oftentimes looks much different from our roadmap. He may allow certain circumstances in your life to come in order to grow your faith and make you stronger.
He will use some situations to build your overall character and get you ready to handle the big picture of the dream. Not every circumstance will be pleasant and some will even be out of your control. It’s in these moments where your faith is tested. You must be convinced that God has a purpose in the pain.
When Joseph told his dreams to his brothers, they immediately became jealous of him. They were so jealous that they came up with a plan to get rid of him, which eventually ended up with him being sold into slavery.
Joseph found himself in an unwanted situation, but He knew that God was with him, and because of that, he experienced great success in a bad situation. He kept a good attitude and work ethic, and he did his very best to turn a bad thing into a good thing.
No matter what test or trial you are going through, you must have faith that God is with you every step of the way. Begin to look at these negative situations as tests that are preparing you for the dream. Stay close to God because He is able to use these tests as stepping-stones for you to move closer to your destiny.
He’s building character in you.
He’s growing your faith.
He’s making you ready for the dream He gave you.
