This Is the Day the Lord Has Made

DAY 21 OF 21

## EASTER DAY: PEACE AND FORGIVENESS THROUGH OUR SAVIOR "Do you believe that God is always with you, even in the really hard times?" I know I have been in times where I question if He is there by my side. My parents got divorced when I was young, and I never really had a strong bond with my biological dad. It's been especially difficult the past couple of years because I have matured and realized where much of the hurt comes from. Last year, I prayed a lot more, and I realized that God had a plan this whole time. He gave me an amazing stepdad and has calmed my mind, giving me the strength to handle tough situations. I still struggle with my biological dad, but I know I can make it through difficult times because of my prayer life, and I know that I always have God by my side. He loves me no matter what. So, back to my question, "Do you believe that God is always with you, even in the really hard times?" I realized that God has always been by my side, has had a plan this whole time, and always will. He put His one and only Son into this world to die for us and our sins to bring peace and forgiveness. I strive to be like Jesus every day, and one of those things I've learned is to love and forgive. I may not have a great relationship with my biological dad. Still, I have forgiven him as the Lord forgives our sins. Jesus came into this world to put His love and Holy Spirit in us so that we can make this world a little bit brighter. The Holy Spirit lives inside all of us, and we should be forever grateful for that, like in (Psalm 118:1-2). It says that we should praise and give thanks to Him, especially on Easter day. So, I challenge you to make it your goal to be more like Jesus every day and forgive those who have wronged you. Praise and give thanks to Him for all that you have! Ava Young, 8th grade
