Is life not more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? ... But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:25,33 For those of us who are not mechanics, we don't have to worry about how the fuel makes our vehicles run on our daily commutes. We simply heed gauge warnings and connect to a pump when more fuel is needed so we can easily get to where we need to go. Similarly, God designed us not to worry about the details of life; we're designed to simply connect to our energy Source to keep going. Too often we disconnect from the Source and succumb to worry. Worry is a roadblock for favor. Instead of setting our mind on things above, we become consumed with thoughts associated with perception, performance, promotion and preservation. Our culture is facing an anxiety epidemic. It is a serious issue, and Jesus is the answer. Today, replace your worry with a concern for God's Kingdom. Intentionally be passionate about what God is passionate about! (Pray for the lost, serve someone in need, share your testimony, etc.) In the meantime, God's favor, grace and provision will meet all of your needs, and you'll be granted peace.
