How Can I Receive My Healing? When we hear what God’s Word says about healing, our faith is built up and we can receive it from His hand. God has promised to provide for His people’s needs. He gives us two conditions: first, we are to put the things of God in first position in our hearts; second, we are to live righteously. He’s not saying that we must do these things perfectly—He knows that we can’t. But He expects us to give top priority to these in our daily lives. It’s when these conditions are met that God’s promise is activated. When you or a loved one is sick, pray in faith, believing, and look for faith partners who will pray with you. Only God knows why some are healed while others aren’t. When we don’t receive what we ask for, we need to be certain there isn’t a seed of lingering doubt in our heart. If it’s there, it must be rooted out. Your physical body thrives in relationship to how well you’re doing spiritually. When you’re down, or depressed, there’s no incentive for your natural mind to praise God. But God is looking for us to do just that! It’s a choice. David said, ‘I will bless the Lord at all times” (Psalm 34:1). When you’re at your lowest point, that’s when you need to raise your voice in praise. Nothing demonstrates trust like thanking God when you’re in the throes of crisis. A thankful heart builds your faith.
