Refined Through the Pain

### Heart Posture Check Today’s devotional is going to look a little different. I want to invite you to spend some time reflecting, engaging, and processing all that the Holy Spirit has been sharing with you. My hope is that as you pray through the scriptures, you will find encouragement, feel strengthened, and make notes from what you have learned. Here’s a recap of what we have covered, for you to reflect on. Which one do you relate to the most? Cry (Release) – Surrender and vulnerable release from burdens or something that oppresses. Refine (Restore) – The process of removing impurities or unwanted elements. Vessels (Rebuild) – Broken and then moulded for purpose and intended use. Rest (Renew) – Act of receiving fresh life or strength. Can I pray over you right now? I believe that God knows your every need, deepest hurts, and silent cries and is waiting to meet with you. Heavenly Father, thank You for your child who has come before You right now. We claim Your name above every fear, doubt, depression, and sorrow. For we know that You love us deeply. We come to You in the pressing and in the crushing, with surrendered hearts and arms lifted high as You break new ground in our hearts. Come have Your way, Lord. Teach us humility and selflessness as we lay down the weight of our expectations. May our hearts find a way to lean in more and encourage ourselves like David did, as we desire to honour You with our lives. Give us the strength to endure, to trust and to try again, for at the proper time, we will reap the harvest. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. Reflection: Through this devotional, we have seen how God encourages us to be raw and honest (remember David in Psalm 40), as He uses the refiners' fire to purify our hearts and remove the dross (in Proverbs 25:4). What is God using in your life to make you reflect the heart of Jesus? Write out a declaration sentence inspired by any or all these words that apply to yourself, your family, your situation, or your future. This was adapted from the devotional journal "Refined".
