Reflect on today’s reading using these questions: * According to these verses, what are some blessings that God gives his children? * What is the connection between God’s love for us and how we love others? # The Source God gives us encouragement, endurance, hope, wisdom, strength, redemption, and forgiveness. These are gifts that are guaranteed to those who trust him, helping us persevere through suffering and “live a life worthy of the Lord” (Colossians 1:10). As we embrace God’s blessings for us, we are empowered to accept others and glorify God as a unified community (Romans 15:6–7). United with God’s people, we can encourage one another to hold fast to the “hope stored up in heaven” (Colossians 1:5). Reflect on your story: * The Bible gives us hope and encouragement as we lean on God’s promises. What attitudes and behaviors should I choose as I wait for God’s promises to be fulfilled? ## Things to try next Was this plan helpful? We adapted this plan from the Restoring Hope Bible (American Bible Society, 2022). Here are some ideas for the next steps in your journey. * Memorize a Bible verse from this reading plan that reminds you to hope in God when facing pain and setbacks. * Write down one loss or disappointment that is weighing on you today. If you feel comfortable, share it with a safe friend. Then read Psalm 42 as a reminder of God’s presence amidst suffering. * Consider joining a [ Trauma Healing Group ](https://traumahealinginstitute.org/) to start your healing journey.
