Day 3 Mighty God: God is for You “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31 NIV It’s hard to have a good relationship with someone when your defenses are up. If you feel like you have to keep up your guard – watching everything you say and everything you do, never quite knowing how it will be taken – then every conversation will be shallow. Every interaction will be limited and the relationship will never blossom and grow into what it could or should be. You can let down your guard with God. There’s no need for pretense or self-protection with him. He is for you! He is working all things for your good. Take a moment and consider this. The Mighty God, the creator of the universe, is on your side – and there is nothing that can separate you from his love. You don’t have to worry about being misunderstood with him or wonder what he will think when he realizes you’re not “perfect.” His saving power is available to you. He has already made provision for your frailties and failings. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in the lives of those who believe in him. In this, there is freedom! You don’t have to be afraid. You don’t have keep your guard up. God is on your side.
