## God Came Back for Moses God is so much bigger than our mistakes. This story shows God’s divine favour on an undeserving man. The time had come for God to act supernaturally to deliver the Israelites from slavery and He chose to call Moses in the desert to do the mission. Forty years earlier Moses had fled after murdering an Egyptian for assaulting a Hebrew man. Moses had tried to free the Israelites in his own strength and had failed. Now at eighty – God called. Time has a way of changing our perspective on things that were once important to us. When I read this passage, I am deeply encouraged. God came back for a man who had made a huge mistake. God could have chosen a younger man, or someone more qualified who had made fewer mistakes. However, that did not prevent God from using Moses to carry out His purpose, but it took forty more years of preparation. God called Moses out of the wilderness into a life of deep eternal impact. So be encouraged, if you’ve made mistakes, don’t let those mistakes defeat you and discourage you. Learn from them and move forward under God’s leading. Walk in the power of the Spirit, not in your own strength. Wait for His perfect timing and allow Him to prepare you for the task(s) He has assigned to you for His glory. #### Written by HEIDI WYSMAN
