#### Day 3: Surrendering Our Most Precious Possessions As you reflect on today’s reading, think about what you would consider your most treasured possessions. Allow a few things to come to mind as you consider this question: How easy would it be to lay those possessions down if God asked you to give them up? Abraham faced this question when God asked him to sacrifice his son, Isaac, the child of promise. It was a test of his faith and willingness to surrender everything, even his most treasured possession, to God. Yet, Abraham demonstrated unwavering trust in God's provision, believing that God would provide a substitute. Abraham's willingness to surrender everything to God is a powerful example for us in our journey with money and possessions. Often, we cling tightly to our material possessions and resources, afraid to let go and trust God. But when we surrender our most precious assets to Him, we open the door for God to work miraculously in our lives and provide in ways we could never imagine. Reflect on today’s verses: * Reflect on the things or possessions you're holding onto tightly. Are you willing to surrender them to God, trusting in His provision? * Identify any areas in your life where you're struggling to let go and trust God with your finances or resources. * Pray for a heart of surrender, willing to place everything in God's hands, just as Abraham did with Isaac. Prayer: God, thank you for the example of Abraham, who was willing to surrender his most precious possession to you. Help me to trust you even when it means letting go of the things I hold dear. Give me the courage to place everything in your hands, knowing that you will provide for me in ways I could never imagine. In Jesus' name, amen.
