Say NO to Fear! 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Once again, the Israelites began to forget about God and they did what was evil. God let the Midianites attack them. The Midianites were so cruel to them. And again, the Israelites cried out to God and God heard them. God sent an angel to a man named Gideon. The angel told him that God gave Gideon a mission to set the Israelites free from the Midianites. Gideon felt that he was not good enough for this mission because he felt that he was the smallest in his family and his clan was the weakest among the Manasseh tribe. The angel assured him that God would be with him. Finally, after asking for a few signs from God, Gideon was convinced that God had really chosen him and he became courageous. Just like Gideon, there are times when we might feel unsure or when fear might creep into our heart and mind. It is normal because this is a human’s feeling. But the Bible says that God did not give us a spirit of fear. So, don’t let fear overcome you. You can overcome it by trusting in God and let His power work through you. Let your faith defeat your fear. God will always be with you to help and strengthen you. Prayer Dear God, thank You for the reminder that with Your power in me, there is nothing I should be afraid of. Amen.
