Great Adventurers (Week 4)

DAY 4 OF 7

Day Four - God’s Way is Best Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional! We are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible. Our Great Adventurer Jonah has been on such an amazing journey so far. God has shown Jonah how wonderful He is! Let's find out what happened once the fish spit Jonah onto dry land. READ: 'Jonah and the Big Fish' in the Beginners Bible (pages 257-264) or Jonah 1-3:10 After the fish spit Jonah out on dry land, God spoke to Jonah again and told him “Go and tell the people of Nineveh to stop doing bad things.” What do YOU think Jonah should do? Yes!  Jonah listened to God and did as God asked. He went to Nineveh and gave the people God’s message. Finally, Jonah had managed to do as God asked. It took Jonah a long time to do as God asked. God is a patient God. He believed in Jonah and knew Jonah would eventually manage to do as He asked. God gave Jonah an important message to give to the people of Nineveh. Whenever God asks us to do something, He will always help us! ASK: Have you ever been asked to do something you find difficult? Think and pray about today's message. Then, chat with God about who He has sent you or how He has helped you Today, spend some time thanking God for HIs help. Think of a creative way to do this. Don’t forget to ask your grownups to take a photo of you doing this and share it with us on Facebook or Instagram. REMEMBER: ‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19:26) SAY: I’m an adventurer. I am bold. I am strong with the word of the Lord. I will follow wherever you lead. I won’t stop. I’ve been set free. In Jesus name, Amen!
