A lot of times we feel like we have to do things to earn other people’s approval. We might have to dress a certain way, talk a certain way, or act different. We pretend to be someone we aren’t in order to fit in. You don’t have to earn God’s love or acceptance. You don’t have to be someone you aren’t in order to get God to like you. God says you are loved and accepted just as you are. That’s because you are his kid. If you follow Jesus, you are a son or daughter of God . You are a part of his family. How have you been trying to get the approval of others? How does knowing you are a son or daughter of God affect how you view yourself?
