Determined To Follow JesusSample

Joseph serves as a figurative and literal example of what it means to remain determined to follow Jesus when things don’t make sense. Joseph followed Jesus in a time that I imagine was challenging. Joseph was engaged to Mary and when he learned that Mary was pregnant and would be the mother of Jesus, he planned to respectfully disassociate himself from her.  Unknowingly making that crucial decision would result in Joseph walking away from Jesus. Human reasoning and understanding outside the guidance of God results in a decision-making process that often times doesn’t align with God’s plan. Although Joseph’s response to the situation seemed right, it was not the right decision for his life. Joseph attempted to walk away from the very one he needed due to the challenges presented before him. I believe we’ve all been there when situations seemed so challenging we thought it was best to walk away from the very thing that Jesus was in and using to develop, strengthen, equip, empower, and bless us. It is rewarding to know that God doesn’t give up on us, He scaffolds us back on target as it relates to his plan, purpose, and will for our lives as we remain connected to our Deliverer Jesus Christ. Joseph followed Jesus when things didn’t make sense. Jesus was the center and foundation of Joseph and Mary’s relationship. Be determined to follow Jesus in your relationships, seek godly wisdom and even in your uncertainty the LORD in his time will reveal to you the purpose of your life’s course. Many individuals get out of relationships where Jesus is the center, to follow others who don’t have Jesus as the center and problems soon ensue. We must follow Jesus even though at times we don’t know the depth of who He is as it relates to his authoritative glory and power. Actively following Jesus is vital even in the uncertain dark times of one’s life. Follow Jesus when relationships are in trouble, follow Jesus with your dreams, family, health, seeds, harvest, singleness, marriage, children, business, career, degree attainment, friends, and aim to follow Jesus while seeking to be apart of a God-honoring bible believing body of Christ. Follow Jesus even in your uncertainties because He has a way of revealing His dynamic plans for you through the Holy Spirit. Follow Jesus as he reveals to you what to walk towards and what to walk away from.
