About the Book of Ruth
This book is about a woman called Ruth. She was from the country called Moab. She was not an Israelite but she married an Israelite man. Ruth was a good woman. She was very kind to her husband's mother, Naomi. They were very poor and Naomi was very sad. But they obeyed God. A man called Boaz helped them. He married Ruth. God was good to Ruth and Boaz. They had children and Naomi became happy again. King David was a descendant of Ruth, and Jesus Christ was too. We do not know who wrote the book.
