When the Music of Your Soul Stops...

DAY 3 OF 3

As spring approaches, we notice leaves begin to sprout on the trees and the flower buds emerge, signaling a new season. Luis noticed that the past things had ended and that a better stage was beginning. Years later, he fell in love with a young woman and they got married. And, when his wife was giving birth to his son (the birth was difficult and painful, just like the process he had gone through), he rejoiced with joy and, taking him in his arms, he said to her: "I am in love". Then he recognized that only God can change our lament into dancing.

You must observe well even the small things that God does because these begin to indicate the great things are coming! That's where you need to rejoice, even when you don't yet understand what's coming, and the volume of your worship needs to rise above the circumstances. We cannot be like Elijah's servant who, when told to look toward the sea because a great rain was coming, disregarded the sign that God had sent, and only visualized a very small cloud, like the palm of a human hand, despite that, in just a moment, the sky darkened, and a great rain began.

Rejoice and be thankful like Miriam!

When the Israelites escaped Egypt, Pharaoh took six hundred chariots, and he and his army pursued them until they found them camping by the sea. At that moment, the people of Israel needed a supernatural miracle because they felt they had reached a dead end—I imagine the music stopped too. But God opened the seas so the Israelites could cross to the other side. And when they finished doing it, God gathered the waters, and they covered Pharaoh with all his army and his chariots.

One of the first people to celebrate this victory was Miriam (sister of Moses and Aaron), a prophetess and worshiper. The Bible says that she took a tambourine in her hands and began celebrating with singing and dancing. Her praise and worship impacted the other women, and they also took a tambourine in her hands and worshiped. In her praise, Miriam expressed: “Sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. Both horse and driver he has hurled into the sea.!” (Exodus 15:21).

When music returns to your life, remember WHO returned it to you, and praise Him with all your being! Be like Miriam and offer God dance and a new song of joy. When people lose their music, not only are they affected but this is also suffered by those around them. So, when your music returns, don't forget to give glory and honor to God in public, because your gratitude demonstrated through your praise will impact other people.
