Hello Baby, I Love You! Abc's for Young Moms

DAY 23 OF 27

V

is for Venerate

Second last but definitely not least. Make it your aim to venerate God in all you do.

To venerate is to worship. Worship is to ascribe worth, and show respect, love, reverence, and adoration to another. The Bible instructs followers of Jesus Christ to offer worship to God and God alone. We exist to live to glorify Him.

Peter refused adoration from Cornelius. Paul and Barnabas would not let the people of Lystra venerate them. In the Book of Revelation John begins to worship an angel, and the angel tells him to worship God!

Make it your daily prayer to desire to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of your life and behold the beauty of the Lord, to hunger and thirst after His righteousness. For with Him is the fountain of life: in His light we see light.

READ the SCRIPTURE

May God give you encouragement, wisdom, and understanding.

RESPOND in WORSHIP

Worship the Lord with your heart, soul, mind, and with your life. Record your thoughts, observations, and prayers in a journal or on your Notes app on your phone.

Take the Truth to Heart: Choose one Scripture that the Lord is using to renew your mind and transform your heart today.

Ask yourself, what is God revealing to me through this Scripture?

Bring the Truth to Life: Think of ways you can practically apply this Scripture.
