Talk to God

“God, help me to know how to serve You. I want Your message to spread.”

Read the Bible

Acts 6:1-8

Read these verses carefully! You will find out that seven men were selected as leaders to serve the followers of Jesus Christ.

Think About It

Think about the words that you just read! What was the problem among the followers of Jesus Christ? How did the apostles handle the problem? What was the result?

The Bible tells us that when God’s people came together to serve each other, “God’s message spread, and many more people in Jerusalem became followers. Even a large number of priests put their faith in the Lord” (verse 7). This means the Word of God was reaching more and more people. God’s message spreads as God’s people serve. God’s message is of greatest importance! The message is about who Jesus is and what He did. Remember, “His name is the only one in all the world that can save anyone” (Acts 4:12b).

Do Something About It

• How will you respond to God’s Word today? Remember, when we serve, God’s message spreads.
• Write one way that you can serve: at home, at school, and in your community.
• Ask God to show you how to act on His plan for you to serve others.
