Talk to God

“God, I thank You that Your good news is for everyone!”

Read the Bible

Acts 10:1-48

Read this chapter carefully. Look for how God used Peter to tell a man named Cornelius about Jesus.

Exciting things were happening in Israel! More and more people were hearing the good news about Jesus and believing in Him! At first, the disciples shared the good news with other Jews only. But God showed Peter that the gospel is for the Gentiles, too. God loved even the Romans who were enemies of the Jews. He helped Peter see that everyone who believes in Jesus receives forgiveness of sins.

Think About It

The good news about Jesus is for everyone! Maybe there is someone you know who is different from you. They might speak a different language. They might go to a different church. They might have a different skin color. God wants you to remember that everyone can come to Jesus and be forgiven. You can ask God to help you tell others who are different from you about Jesus.

Gentile—a person who is not a Jew.

Do Something About It

• Write down the name of someone you know who needs to hear about Jesus – try to choose someone who is different from you.
• Pray for them right now. Ask God to help their heart be ready to believe in Jesus.
• Ask the Holy Spirit to help you tell them about Jesus and how He can be their Savior from sin.
• Do something today to let them know of God’s love.
