Anxious for Nothing: Decisions, Decisions

Locations & Times

Paradox Church

28241 Mound Rd, Warren, MI 48092, USA

Sunday 10:00 AM

Welcome to Paradox Church, where our motto is 'Come as You Are, No Perfect People Allowed.' Each and every week we strive to demystify the Bible and understand how God’s truths--as confusing and contradictory as they may seem--have tremendous impact on our day-to-day lives. We seek to do this in a way that will arrest your attention, appeal to your sense of humor, and lead you to a richer relationship with God and his people. So sit back, relax, and check out a few of the things happening around here before we get started. If you have any questions, stop by the Hub at the bottom of the stairs after the service.

ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:4-7

Age of Anxiety
1) Too many choices
2) Afraid of costly mistakes

Acts 15:22, 25, 28 (NASB)
Should we just do what feels right?

Proverbs 14:12 (ESV)
What seems right to “a man” leads to death.
What seems right to a group of believers listening to the Holy Spirit leads to life.

GPS = Godly Positioning System

Anxiety is signal, alerting time to pray.

With a posture of prayer and praise (Philippians 4:6), we will seek God and do what seems right!

What if we miss a turn by ignoring or misunderstanding our GPS?

Romans 8:28

God has a way of bringing good things out of wrong turns.

Only two decisions really matter to your life:
1) Jesus' decision to die for your sins
2) Your decision to accept his gift

Romans 3:22-24

We started the House of Prayer initiative using Paradox Church as the location for prayer, but given the current Michigan mandate to “Stay Home, Stay Safe,” we’re moving to our homes or outdoors (with proper social distancing).
