As Jesus followers, we can live unified and faithful lives worthy of the Gospel of Christ be leading by example, by following Jesus’ example and by living out the example through daily obedience.
Main idea:
Since we are in Christ, we live by the example of Christ which allows us to live a life that makes the Gospel desirable to others.
4 Reality Questions and 4 Present Realities:
Where are you receiving your encouragement from?
(As a child of God, the truth of Christ's encouragement will never let you down.)
Are you finding comfort in the Saviour's love for you?
(As a child of God, you can find comfort in Christ's love because it is real, sacrificial and eternal.)
Are you filled with the Spirit or are you quenching the Spirit?
The Spirit comes to us as a fire, either to be fanned into full flame and given the freedom to accomplish his will, or to be doused and extinguished by the water of human fear, control, and flawed theology. SAM STORMS
(As a child of God, daily yield and make room for the Holy Spirit's fellowship in your life.)
Do you have the capacity to show affection and compassion to others like Christ did for you?
(As a child of God, set yourself a part to Him, so that you show deep inner affection and bold outward compassion to others.)
Looking at Verses 3 and 4, we can ask to important questions:
How can I display humility?
1-Avoid selfish ambition and vain conceit
2-Be humble
3-Consider others as more important than you.
4-Look out for other people's interests too.
Where is Christ calling me to exhibit humility?
