Love the fall? Well so does the River Youth and we will be celebrating with a bonfire and Chris and Miranda Baker’s home in Monroe on October 6th from 6:30pm-8:00pm. We will be providing food and drinks for the night. All you have to do is show up and join us in the fun. Contact Zach@HitTheRiver.com if you have any questions.
River 101
Interested in learning more about The River Church? Pastor Brad will be teaching our River 101 class on Monday, October 14, 6:15pm-8:30pm. This is a great way to learn what we believe, how we operate, and where we’re heading. If you are interested in membership, the class is a prerequisite. Sign up online at HitTheRiver.com.
Barn Bash
The River Church will be going to the Niederman Family Farm on Thursday, October 17 for a fun evening of connecting and letting the kids play. We have the barn reserved for our church so we can eat and hang out together. It will be a great way to celebrate all the good things God has done this past year.
There will be two meal times to choose from (5:30pm or 6:00pm) in order to accommodate more families. There is no cost for the meal. We will send you a reminder email a few days before the event to remind you of the time you picked.
We are also selling discounted wristbands to get into the farm if you want to take your family to enjoy a hayride, bonfire, corn maze, smores and all the other fun things the farm has to offer. The wristbands are only $5 per person ($12 at the gate). Children 2 years old and under are free.
Pumpkin Glow
Experience a glow-in-the-dark family worship time, followed by a friendly pumpkin-carving contest and snacks. On Sunday, October 27, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, wear your costume and bring one pumpkin for your family and join us for worship, games, crafts, treats and more. Let’s glow for Jesus! Make sure to invite your friends! Please register online at HitTheRiver.com. This event will have gluten free options and will be ok for those with peanut allergies.

Cultivating Prayer: Individually
God’s delays are not God’s denials. Often we stop praying when we don’t see an answer, when in reality, that is the time that we should keep praying. Just because we are in a waiting season doesn’t mean God said “no.” His delay is for a purpose that you might not be able to see at the time.
In Need?
The River Church has a Deacon Team in place to address the needs of people who are in the midst of difficult circumstances. We invite people to contact us, whether for yourself or for another person at the River. If you want to be considered for help by the Deacon Team, it is as simple as sending a message to deaconteam@HitTheRiver.com. The Deacon Team is made up of 3 members: Vicki Chappell, Terry Daviaux, and Doug Lee. All requests are handled with confidentiality. The Deacon Team also helps provide boxes of food and personal hygiene products to people in need whether or not they attend the River Church.

There are times in life when we can be in a situation where a meal would be a blessing. Through our Angels Among Us ministry, you can help people within our church by bringing them a meal.
