Dark Days for Judah
After the faithful king Jehoshaphat died his son succeeded him as king and turned his back on the Lord. His reign began what was over 100 years of dark days for Judah. They were days that God seemed absent from the story and where all hope seemed lost.
Nevertheless...
Despite the king, and Judah's, unfaithfulness to God he was still faithful to his promises.
God never leaves us without hope
God preserved a remnant of Davi'd descendants so that his promise to him might be fulfilled. He never leaves us without hope.
When we are lost, have lost our way, and all seems silent. God never stops speaking.
Nevertheless….
May we see the light of hope that God has preserved in our dark days.
May we hear his voice when all seems silent.
May we know that he is at work if we just look in the right place.
