RECAP
Last week, we saw the need for a paradigm shift. Our Big Idea is “For our walk in Christ to continue, a shift isn’t just necessary, it’s required.”
--If we aren’t careful, we begin to think that this is just another thing that “I have to do”. That is not the purpose of that Big Idea! It is a simple reminder that we might be holding on to thought processes, actions or something that God is saying… let go!
So, last week, our main points were:
-We have to let go of what we think we know in order to learn what we need to know.
-It’s hard to get past the “me” portion of the gospel
-You can only go so far in first gear!
As we concluded last week, I challenged you with some questions simply asking…
-What if we didn’t have the fancy lights…WYSC
-What if we had an off key singer and now worship team… WYSC
-What if we forwent the cookies and coffee… WYSC
-No program for your kiddos…WYSC
-No Heat and Air…WYSC
We all answer yes, but if you were to sweat through your Sundays…would we find an excuse to stay home no the weekend?
This isn’t to make anyone feel guilty.
We will have good chairs. We will have good sound. We will have clear projectors, we will have secure learning environments for kids… it’s going to happen.
My question is, if those weren’t available… is He simply enough?
If we can’t really answer that, it is a great time to have a conversation with the King and ask why our heart is troubled.
