Tithes and Offerings Options
Giving is our expression of trust as followers of the Word of God. We give our tithe (Hebrew for 10%) saying "God, we trust that you are our provider" and He seemingly always provides! 1) Understanding the past.

-This book (scroll) is mentioned 8 times in 9 verses.
-The opening of this book sets into motion what happens in chapters 5-18.
-Chapters 19-22 are the direct aftermath of the events of this book.
Questions regarding the scroll (book)
-What does the scroll contain?
--It is the title deed to the earth… It is a statement of ultimate ownership.
---Ultimately we are stewards (toys go back in the box)
--It is the will of God concerning this planet.
---We think to singular. Me… what does this say about me?
---We think we are the only ones that received a promise. Not true
---He made a promise to creation too
-Remember…
--Adam was not deceived, but the woman was. The promise was that an offspring would come…
It is only through the patience, provision, and promise of God that life could change.
-God’s will to this world which had been defied.
-Both front side and backside of the scroll had words written on it.
Another prophetic book… Zechariah 5:1-4 (See Above)
-“flying scroll” = taken over time
-See it as its being taken over time
-There is the curse - God is holding title deed (ultimately its his)
---remember we haven’t seen this planet as it was intended
-The thief… he shall be expelled
---(thief of thieves)
-Every perjurer (liar)
---(father of lies)
-He entered in this house by lies and stole and thinks its his forever…
-The Father God (Rev. 5:1 NKJV - See below)
-He ultimately controls everything
-The curse was restrained
-He wants His Will finished
Why cry?
-Wept: He knew the implications.
---He wept because he knows that if the scroll is not opened, the curse will ----not be lifted because it cannot be judged.
---And even though we are redeemed, the world won’t experience its
----redemption.
-John sees the Lamb as slain.
-John sees he has the right to open!
-He is uniquely qualified!!
-Earth was given to man, so it required a man; a perfect man without sin.
---OT: Days Man (Job 9:32-33)
---NT: Mediator (1 Tim 2:5)
---High Priest (Heb 9:12-14)
Revelation 5:5 "But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."
-Judah was the largest tribe (contributed the most troops) Judah was at the forefront…
-David king (vanquished every enemy of Israel and extended the boundaries like no other)
-Jesus did it through the cross because that is where his blood was shed.
Revelation 5:9 "And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation..."
-God is a good God.
---He held in trust and waited for redemption.
-He could of started over, but waited on us!
-There is no curse which can’t be broken.
-All prayer will be answered.
I just gave my life to Jesus... now what?
