When a Prophet Lies with Pastor Darren Rogers
This is a tale of 2 prophets.
A true one and a false one.
How can you tell the difference?
Here is what we know about a true prophet:
1. What he __________-happens! - (verses 3-5)
2. What he __________-is answered! - (verses 6)
3. What he ______ for-is unquestionable! – (verses 7-10)
Here is what we know about a false prophet:
When he lies people:
1. Are ____________ – (verses 18)
2. ___________ – (verses 19-24)
3. ___________ (or at least pay a heavy price). – (verses 24)
If the true prophet could talk to us perhaps he would say, “If I could do it again I would”:
1.__________ God’s instructions to the very end!
He did everything right until the false prophet showed up.
2.Not ___________ anyone who tried to persuade me otherwise.
He dropped his guard. He lost his focus.
3.Have never ___________ at the oak tree.
He sat down before the mission was finished.
When a prophet lies people are disillusioned, disappointed and discouraged.
Obey the voice of the Lord always and you will never find yourself the victim of a false prophet.
