Psalm 121 is a pilgrim Psalm where the pilgrim cries out for help and then answers his own question. I’ve entitled this message “My Help.” Notice as I read the repetition of a particular word. The Hebrew language uses repetition for emphasis. This word is used six times in this short Psalm of eight verses, leaving no question to the reader just who our help truly is. Look now with me at Psalm 121.
What are we to do, when the mountains of life surround us? We are to declare our trust in this: Our help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.
