In the heading of Psalm 16 it is said to come from the pen of David. We know that David wrote it because Peter in his sermon on Pentecost in Acts 2 quotes from Psalm 16, and he attributes it to David. The Apostle Paul in Acts 13 in his sermon also quotes from Psalm 16, and Paul references David as well.

David’s prayer in this Psalm is that God would preserve him. Verse 1 can summarize all of Psalm 16. He says to the Lord in verse one, “in You I take refuge.”
1. We find refuge in the Lord by surrendering to His Lordship and seeing God as the source of every good thing we have.
