1. Sincere believers cannot avoid having these questions.
2. Emotional distress very well can lead to spiritual barrenness.
3. Prayer is the right and fitting response to our distress.
4. We are to put our hope in God’s steadfast love and remember His goodness in our lives.
How do we regain a sense of God’s presence?
Gerald Wilson in his commentary asks the question, when God is absent how do we regain a sense of His presence? He answers with three things: 1. Voice our complaints 2. Getting out of ourselves 3. In the community of faith (Psalms, 284-85)
1. Be honest with God and voice those questions to Him.
2. Pray
3. Remember God’s steadfast love and His goodness in your life
4. Trust
