As followers of Jesus, we've been entrusted with an incredible calling: to live on mission with Jesus, extending God's influence into every nook and cranny of our world. That's exciting, but it's also intimidating. It's easy to feel like we don't have what it takes to pull it off. But we do. You do. Different gifts, one Giver.
The Giver is more important than the gifts.
Our focus should be on the Giver, not the gifts.
1 Corinthians 12:7 NIV
· Now to each one the revelation of the Spirit is given.
· Now to each one the demonstration of the Spirit is given.
· Now to each one the announcement of the Spirit is given.
· Now to each one the showing-up of the Spirit is given.
A spiritual gift is the main way that the Holy Spirit shows up through each believer.
If you're a believer, God has a main way He wants to show up through you.
Remember these two things:

Source determines significance.
When we forget this:
1 // We start to value some gifts more than others.
2 // We start to value some gift-havers more than others.
3 // We start to value how a gift advances us rather than advances the Gospel.
God wants you to discover and deploy your spiritual gift.
How do we do that?.
1 // Make sure you have a relationship with God through faith in Jesus..
2 // Check your motives.
3 // Pray for a more missional mindset.
4 // Ask other believers when they’ve seen God show up through you.
5 // Try different kinds of serving, then ask again!
