Thy Kingdom Come: His Victory, My Security
Welcome to Grace Chapel! The Gospel proclaims that through Christ people can experience true satisfaction, deep joy, and certain security. Trusting Christ reorients our soul around its true axis and then puts the trials and insecurities of earthly life into their proper eternal perspective.

God’s victory is my greatest security.
Reading prophecy is like studying Picasso.
Five main parts to Daniel 7:
a. Daniel’s Vision: The Four Beasts (vv. 1-8)
b. The Divine Court: God judges the beast (vv. 9-12)
c. The Son of Man is given God’s Power (vv. 13-14)
d. The Interpretation of Daniel’s Vision (vv. 15-27)
e. III. Daniel’s Distress (v. 28)

God’s sovereignty is His unrivaled, divine power to actively order, shape, ordain, and transform all aspects of His creation in accordance with His chosen purpose.
The four powers are represented by four beasts:

Babylon – Head of gold – Lion with wings and the mind of a man
Medo-Persian – Chest and arms of silver – Lopsided bear with three ribs
Greece – Middle and thighs of bronze – Leopard with 4 heads and wings
Rome – Feet of iron and clay – Beast with iron teeth and 10 horns

Find confidence in the fact that nothing catches God by surprise (vv. 1-8)

The Divine Court in Daniel 7:9-14
Embrace peace knowing that no one will escape God’s judgement. (vv. 9-11)
Take refuge in the Kingdom of God established by Jesus, the Son of Man (vv. 13-14)
Rest assured that all powers ultimately serve God’s purposes. (vv. 15-26)
Have joy in Christ’s Kingdom which is won for God’s people. (v. 27)

God holds the future; I have nothing to fear.
This week I will…

• Write down what I am worried about or insecure in and then list where God can help me in these areas.
• Memorize Philippians 4:6, and pray it to the Lord, asking Him to calm my anxiety
• Post on social media a statement about why I have joy knowing I am in Christ’s Kingdom now and even more fully in the future.
