Devoted: “Living for God, Even When…”

Welcome to Grace Chapel! In this message, we will call into question how we react when we are in crisis. Do we love for God, even when…? We will study on Daniel 6:1-11 and watch a man who remained faithful to God EVEN WHEN he was surrounded by corrupt culture, kings and cohorts.

A life lived for God will remain outwardly DEVOTED for Him EVEN WHEN…
Daniel’s devotion to God set him APART. (vv. 1-3)

Daniel 6:1-3

A life lived for God cannot go UNNOTICED.
“While our faith is always personal, it is never private.”

Daniel 6:4-5

BLAMELESS

Not sinless, but blameless.

The power of our life is found in the strength of God and the world will not UNDERSTAND that fact.

2 Timothy 4:17

Daniel’s devotion to God was not determined by the CIRCUMSTANCES around him. (vv. 6-9)

Daniel 6:6-9

The world, our enemy, and our flesh will conspire against us, but lasting COURAGE is found in Christ.

2 Timothy 3:12

Hebrews 11:33-34

Daniel’s devotion to God in the midst of a crisis was previously DETERMINED in his moments of peace. (vv. 10-11)

Daniel 6:10-11

What we value MOST will determine what we live for most.
EVEN WHEN

This week I will…
• Identify where I am lacking faith and ask God to “Encourage” me through His Word and my circumstances.
• Write down ten promises of God or truths about Him that I can cling to.
• Predetermine my disciplines of godliness so I am ready when a crisis comes.
• Ask a friend to pray with me, that I may live for God even when…
