Overseers are appointed leaders of the church and they look after the physical and spiritual welfare of the church.
A person's character is significantly more important than their ability to teach!
These are all matters of the heart.

4. God will test us

Those who have served well will be well respected within the church, and will have the added benefit of deepening their faith in Jesus.
The qualifications for leaders in the church are also a reflection of how followers of Jesus are to conduct themselves.
