Take Aways from Last Week:
Take Away: John was at first apprehensive towards Jesus’ request to be Baptized, but then concedes verifying Jesus’ claim to Messiahship. We can sometimes be apprehensive towards what Jesus asks of us, but when we’re obedient we decrease and Jesus increases in us.
Take Away: God desires to use each of us in ministry. As we decrease and He increases in us we can be used for powerful things in God’s Kingdom.
Take Away: Water Baptism is an outward and visible sign of our decision to follow Jesus who is the true Living Water who cleanses us from our sins. Our Baptism is a symbol of us decreasing and Jesus increasing in our life.

Take Away: We ought to pray that our eyes would be open to all Jesus has for us as we decrease and He increases. We ought also pray that the world’s eyes would be opened to who Jesus truly is, the Salvation of the world.
B. Jesus' Identity

Take Away: God gave John special insight into the identity of Jesus and used Him as the one who would verify who Jesus is. As God Sanctifies us through His Sanctifying Grace we can expect that we will become more like Christ as we decrease and paving the way for Jesus to increase in and through us.
C. Our Identity
Increase/Greater = "auzano" - grow or enlarge
Decrease/Less = "elattoo" - lessen in influence

Take Away: Understanding that Jesus is greater than we are and that we are not equal or greater than He helps us form a right understanding of our identity in Christ and an understanding of who He is. If we are to decrease and He is to increase we must always view Jesus as greater or run the risk of thinking we are somehow equal to Him.

-Sunday, March 24th One Worship Service with Musical Guest Stephanie Allison McCormick: You will be blessed by the ministry of Stephanie who is a contemporary and gospel music artist from Detroit, Michigan where she serves as a Worship Leader at a large urban Church. Her anointed singing and sharing of the Gospel will be an encouragement to everyone. Bring a guest and enjoy a time in God's in Presence!!
