Online Giving

Everything we do at Heartland starts with you. Working together, we accomplish more than any of us could alone. We encourage people to give generously as God has given to them, knowing we can't outgive God! If you'd like to be a part of that, you can give online by clicking here or text any dollar amount to 84321.

Youth Group Missions
Plans are underway for a Youth Group Mission Trip to Eureka Springs, AR from July 7th-13th. The youth will be working with missions organization TEAMeffort.

From TEAMeffort’s website, “In the small towns and rural areas in the Ozark Mountains are people who quietly live in deplorable conditions with little hope of change. Youth groups will find this summer mission camp heartbreaking at first as they see the destitute conditions in which people live, but that work will soon become heartwarming as they see the difference they can make in someone's life. Reaching out to help these struggling families fix and maintain what little they have brings them a message of Christian caring and service that will open their eyes to Christ's love. Group projects during this summer mission camp will be a mixture of roofing, painting, wheelchair ramp construction, and general clean-up and repair.”

Fundraising for the trip will soon begin. This is a wonderful way for the kids to see that even they can make a huge difference in someone’s life for the Kingdom of God. Please help support them as you feel led.

Trustee Meeting Minutes
Copies of the Trustee Meeting Minutes are in a binder that is available at the Welcome Center.

Church Budget
The 2019 church budget was presented last Sunday and the vote on it was tied, so the trustees are going back to the drawing board. They will be working on a new budget to present to Heartland in the coming weeks. Please pray for wisdom for the trustees for God’s direction in guiding Heartland. Pray for clear vision and for unity and for God’s favor to be upon us all.

Going Beyond Women’s Conference
Ladies! We are so excited as we prepare for the Going Beyond Simulcast on April 6th. You can go to the church website to register. Registration forms are also available at the Welcome Center. Cost is $10 for Early Bird through Saturday, March 23rd; $15 from Sunday, March 24th through Saturday, April 6th. The fee includes the conference, lunch, childcare and so much more!

Be prepared for His Spirit to move you, His Word to speak to you, and His love to inspire you, along with fun and surprises!

If you would like to help with the conference, please contact Lori Jacobs. We will need help from both men and women. Please pray for the conference and for the women who will be attending.

Prayer Concerns & Praises - Please email any prayer requests, praises or other needs to info@heartlandgb.com.

Praise! Pastor Matt & Kathryn Schaffner are grandparents! Their son Gavin & his wife Briannah welcomed their son Alexander Lee Schaffner on Wednesday. Congratulations to mom & dad, grandpa & grandma and all of the family.

Pastor George Redington had surgery on Wednesday to remove a Grade 4 Glioblastoma from his brain. Thursday he was moved from ICU and he will be transferred to the rehabilitation facility at Hutchinson Regional Hospital this afternoon where he will receive physical, occupational, and visual training daily. Lindell will also be trained on how to be an effective caregiver for these areas of need. Pray for healing, and for peace, wisdom and guidance for George & Lindell.

Praise! Carole Harris got a wonderful report on the spots that were found on her windpipe and lungs were not cancerous! Praise God for this great news! Carole continues to receive chemo for breast cancer.

Praise! Norma King, Lori Jacobs’ mother, was transferred to the swing bed unit at Clara Barton on Thursday. She has a torn mitral valve but is not a candidate for surgery to repair it. Please pray for her to gain strength, for her kidneys to continue working, and her oxygen levels to continue to improve. She will remain at Clara Barton until she is able to be moved back home.

Pray for all who are hurting and have unspoken needs.

Laura Reiser, Renee Buntain’s mother, was in the hospital last week for sepsis. She was sent home but had to be taken to the ER Friday night. Please pray for healing for her body.

Darren Buntain was at the hospital last week with kidney stones. Please pray that they will pass easily and that he feels better soon.

Please continue to pray for John Harris and Jenni Wittig. Pray that the treatments they are each receiving will be effective.

Please continue to pray for Bud & Margaret Sell, Jennifer Leiker’s grandparents who live in southern Texas. There is a possibility that they may be moving to Oklahoma where they will be closer to family to care for them. Please pray for Bud & Margaret and for the family as they work to get the best care and solutions for them and for wisdom and peace over the entire situation.

Both Jack Bailey and Fred Schultz have been having a lot of back/hip/sciatica pain. Please pray for pain relief and for the doctors to find the cause. Pray also for wisdom and for an effective treatment.

Continue to pray for Susan Phillips, Mark Ball’s sister. She started a new regimen of chemo on February 8th, but her doctor is still working to get her into other clinical trials. Please pray that the new chemo regimen would be effective, that the doctor would find a clinical trial that will accept her, and for wisdom, comfort and peace throughout this ordeal.

Pray for our nation and the decisions that are being made by those in power, specifically in regards to abortion. Pray for an end to this evil practice. Especially pray for the women who have to face this decision and feel they have no other choice. Pray that more and more hearts and homes will be open to adoption. Pray for unity among those who hold office in our state and our nation.

Monday is coming!
What happens Sunday is only as meaningful as what you do with it the rest of the week. Simon chose obedience to his Lord, even in the face of what seemed irrationally foolish. What step of radical obedience is God calling you to this week? Join us this week as we read through the message of Jesus and His radical call to total surrender and obedience.
