3) In your own words, describe how adoption is a picture of the gospel – of the good news of God’s work for us.
4) How does God’s adoption of us in Ephesians 1:4-6 fit with the idea of God’s blessing in Ephesians 1:3? (Try to remember last week’s message on the blessing!)
5) What would it have meant to the Ephesians to hear that God had “chosen” them? (Consider Romans 9:1-5) What ought it mean to us today?
