Good Stewardship helps create a lifestyle of generosity.

God wants your heart first and foremost. If He’s got your heart, the rest will follow.

James 1:16-18

C.S. Lewis, a renown theologian of last century puts it this way:

“Every faculty you have, your power of thinking or of moving your limbs from moment to moment, is given by God. If you devoted every moment of your whole life exclusively to His service, you could not give Him anything that was not in a sense His own already.”

A. It All Belongs to God

Psalms 50:7-12

1 John 3:1

Take Away: When we recognize the spiritual truth that everything belongs to God, we are more likely to be good stewards of all we have and as a result be more generous. Our generosity is a reflection of God’s presence in our lives.

B. People Tend to be Generous When Transformation Takes Place

Take Away: When the Mission is clear and the Holy Spirit is transforming lives, people tend to be more generous. The resources of the Church are meant to be used and given in service to achieve God’s purposes.

C. The Tabernacle Offering

Take Away: There are spiritual ramifications connected to our generosity. Generosity helps us achieve God sized vision.

Please RSVP to Rita in the office as there will be a meal. -Healing Service. Sunday, Nov 11 at 6pm -Church Conference.Sunday, Nov 18 at 2pm at Emmanuel Church. The network Churches overseen by Pastor Marc will join us for a group Church Conference like the one in Concordia last year, but on a smaller scale. We will have our own Church Meeting in January to share items that have been traditionally shared at Church Conference in the past.

Operation Christmas Child Box Collection

We are collecting boxes for Operation Christmas Child until November 11. Bring them by the church and put them in the tower entrance.
