Introduction

Romans 12:1-2

1. A determined commitment of our bodies to the Lord.

A. To present our bodies once and for all. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

B. To live daily with God’s help - I urge you.

C. Acceptable to God by faith. Hebrews 11:5; Ephesians 5:7-10

2. A determined commitment of our minds to the Lord.

A. Do not allow your thinking to be conformed to this world. 1 John 2:15-17

B. But allow your mind and hearts to be transformed.

3. A determined commitment of our will to the Lord.

A. That we might prove what the will of God is for our lives. Ephesians 5:15-17

B. It is so easy to justify our decisions, which can easily lead to sin. James 4:13-17

Application Thoughts:

1. If you have committed sexual sin, confess it to the Lord and to a few people you can trust. Be accountable.

2. Train your minds and heart with memorized Scripture.
James 2:2-4; Philippians 4:6-7; Proverbs 3:3-4; 1 Timothy 6:17-19

3. Begin each day by praying for God‘s will. And with bigger decisions, please process with your spiritual leaders. Proverbs 15:22

Prayer Night - April 15

Come and join us Monday night, April 15, from 7:00-8:00pm in the coffee shop as we come together to pray for our church, our community, our nation, and the world. Men's Gathering - April 18

Men, join us for an evening of fellowship at Barrels and Bottles at Camp George West on Thursday, April 18 at 6:00pm. These gatherings provide a great opportunity for men to connect, grow in friendship, and encourage each other in our walks with the Lord. Looking forward to catching up!

Women’s Clothing Swap - April 20

The Women's Clothing swap will be held on April 20 from 9:00-11:00am at Hillside. Donations can be dropped off at the church anytime on April 19.

Youth Group Fishing Trip - April 28

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers offer high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered, emotional and spiritual care for people in the congregations going through difficult times. If you would like to like more information about getting connected with a Stephen Minister, or if you'd like to be a Stephen Minister, please email the Stephen Ministry team at stephenministry@hillsidecommunity.org.

Prayer Ministry
The Prayer Team hosts a monthly prayer night at 7:00pm on the third Monday of the month (next: April 15). The Prayer Team is also available before and after the service if you need prayer.

Meals Ministry
The Meals Ministry is a practical way to meet the needs of others in the congregation who are welcoming a new baby or experiencing challenging circumstances. If you would like more information about providing meals, or if you yourself are in need of meals, please contact Jenny Ward.

Women's Ministry
The Saturday morning Women's Bible study meets every other Saturday at 9:00am (next: April 20). Please contact Andrea Flack or Jane Banzhaf for more information.

Men's Ministry
The Saturday morning Men's Bible Study meets every Saturday at 10:00am. Please contact David Eicher for more information. The Thursday morning Men's Bible Study meets every other Thursday at 6:00am (next: April 18). Please contact Elliot Makuh for more information.

Young Adults
The Young Adults group meets on Sunday mornings at 8:45am. For more information, contact Abby Bowen or Matt Mitchell.

Youth Group
Youth Group meets in the back of the coffee shop during service except on the 1st Sunday of the month to participate in communion. Youth Group also meets on Sunday evenings at the church from 4:00-5:30pm. Contact Val Semich for more information.
