FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION 3.17.24
Hebrews 12:1-2 (NLT) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame.
In order for us to run with endurance the race that God has set before us and serve our generation we must
Strip off weights that slow us down.
a. Some weights may not be sinful acts, but they are not beneficial for us spiritually, emotionally, or physically.
Strip off sin that trips us up.
a. What sin does the enemy use to trip you?
b. What steps do you need to take to lean into God’s grace and find freedom?
3. Keep our eyes on Jesus.
a. Has anything caused you to take your eyes off Jesus?
