Life is Sacred

As important as the sixth commandment is, it is also one of the most misunderstood and frequently misquoted commandments. The commandment says, “You shall not murder.” Most people, if asked which of the ten commandments they are most confident they have not violated, would reference the sixth commandment. But when we get to the heart of the commandment, we will realize how important this commandment is and how difficult it is to obey. --- Many people are looking for a life of hope, freedom, and blessing. The law of God is often viewed as a list of do’s and don’ts, but it is actually God’s guide for us to experience a life of freedom filled with blessing. The ten commandments are not only God’s code of conduct for a moral life, but they help us see our need for Jesus and show us how we can live a life filled with hope.
