Sermon Text: Luke 1:26-56
Preparation Question: Has there been a situation in your life where you started with anxiety and ended up being grateful for the situation?

Three steps of Mary’s journey that took her from anxiety to adoration:
1. Mary’s journey into the unknown started with some anxiety. (v. 26-34)

2. Mary moved from anxiety to acceptance not because she completely understood God’s plan but because she trusted and submitted to God’s sovereignty. (v. 35-38)

3. Mary moved from acceptance to adoration as she, in faith, experienced God confirming and fulfilling His promises and because she received encouragement from others. (v. 39-56)

1. Why does change or the unknown sometimes seem scary?
2. How can we help ourselves/others move past anxiety to faithful acceptance and action?
3. How did God use Martha to make such a difference in Mary's spirit?
4. In what ways did God confirm to Mary that the message she received was true?
5. Is there a situation/area of your life where you need to move from anxiety to adoration? Ask God to help you and then watch for Him to work.
