Sermon Series: Romans
Sermon: Being Thankful for Our Eternal Security in Christ
Passage: Romans 8:31-39
Pastor Shawn Bowen
Introduction: A reminder of the blessings and assurances in Romans 8:1-30.
- We are no longer condemned (v .1).
- We are children of God (v. 14).
- We are heirs of God and coheirs with Christ (v. 17).
- We are saved (v. 24).
- The Spirit of God intercedes for us (v. 27).
- We have God working for our good (v. 28).
Five truths about our security in Christ for which we can be truly thankful. Romans 8:31-39

1. Since God is for us, no one can be against us (v. 31).

2. Since God gave us His own Son, He will graciously give us all things (v. 32).

3. Since God justifies us, no one can bring any charges against us (v. 33).

4. Since Jesus died, was resurrected, sits at the right hand of God, and intercedes for us, no one can condemn us (v. 34)

5. And because of all of this, nothing can separate us from the love of God (v. 35-39).
