In the midst of their DISAPPOINTMENT, Jesus was walking with them.
Jesus began to remind them of WHO He truly is.

Their disappointment revealed a SMALL VIEW of the Christ.
Jesus takes them back to the Old Testament and gives them the REST OF THE STORY..
The story of Jesus did NOT BEGIN in a MANGER
To be disappointed with God is to be CLUELESS concerning what He has DONE.
All through the Old Testament, Jesus was THERE, and the Prophets foretold what He WOULD DO.
- He was the BIG BANG when he spoke the galaxies into existence.
- He was the very creative designer of all that was made and done in creation.
- He was there when man was made and when man rebelled.
- He was there on the cross redeeming fallen man back to God.

1446 years before Christ came as a “babe in a manger,” He was the PASSOVER LAMB that these disciples celebrated annually.
He reminded them of this at the LAST SUPPER when he took the BREAD and the CUP…especially the cup of promise that one day God would save them.
