Life Group Questions
This Life Group season runs from September 10 – December 10.
1. This week the focus was on God’s presence, particularly when we are called to do something new or challenging. Read Joshua 1:1-9 and do a little reflection.
2. God recollects for Joshua that He (God) had also walked with Moses. God speaks of keeping the book of the law close (likely Genesis through Deuteronomy) which tells of God’s faithful actions in the past. What did God do for the people in the past from the Exodus until the days of Joshua?
3. God also says that he has given them the land, it is now theirs to receive. Why would Joshua need words of courage, strength, and a reminder of God’s presence?
4. In your life, what are some ways that God has been faithful in the past?
5. Are there still times that you feel like Joshua: You know God’s faithfulness, but you need his presence to go forward? What does it take to rely on God in those moments?
6. Take some time to give thanks to God for his goodness, provision, faithfulness, and the gift of His presence.
