Synopsis: As those given life by Jesus, followers of Jesus live skillfully by recognizing the power of words and using careful, edifying, fitting, and graceful words (written or spoken) to give life, reveal life, and display life.
Questions for Discussion this week:
Would you characterize much of the public speech today to be wise or foolish? How come?
Why do you think words are so powerful?
Consider your usual pattern of speaking. Do your words tend to result in life-giving consequences or death-giving consequences?
Which of the qualities of wise words most stands out to you - Careful (few), Edifying, Fitting, or Graceful?
How will you give live, reveal life, or display life with your words this week?
