Sermon Text: Ephesians 6:4
Preparation Question: What are some distinguishing marks of a good parent?

1a. Fearful parents consider their child's safety and comfort as the ultimate priority.

1b. Faithful parents consider their child's salvation and sanctification as the ultimate priority

2a. Fearful parents take a child's rejection personally and see their child's missed opportunities as negative experiences.

2b. Faithful parents trust God's sovereignty in rejection and find the teachable moments in their child's missed opportunities.

3a. Fearful parents see their child's accomplishments and failures as reflections of themselves.

3b. Faithful parents promote humility in success, perseverance in failure, and look to their Savior, not their kids, for peace, joy, and value.
