Jesus was thrust into the headquarters of Pilate by the Jews to have him killed. The unfolded scene revealed the Jewish leader’s and Roman governor’s hearts toward the truth. The text begs the question of our own concern for the truth, and our concern for the truth reveals, as it did with those in the story, what we do with Jesus.
