B. Planted a vineyard.
C. Betrothed wife.
D. Fainthearted and fearful.

4. Commanders are appointed.

5. Offer peace.
Have the swords sharpened.
Buckle down the helmet.
Notch up the belt.
Tighten the breastplate.
Grip the shield even tighter.
Clean the shoes and double knot the laces.

6. Promise of victory.

7. Keep the good fruit.

1. What other Scriptures remind us that God is with us?

2. When did the above phrase (God is with you) become real, and how does it help you each day?

3. Tell of a time that you fainted spiritually. How did you respond?

4. What other reasons did you come up with for these four mentioned reasons for guys to back out of the battle?

5. How does God promise victory? It was obviously for the people in those days, but how does God promise victory for us today? For what should you trust God in victory?
