Alexandria Covenant Church
A Changed Life
The apostle Paul’s testimony is an example of a life that was dramatically changed and repurposed by Jesus. His example of life change shows us how God saves people through Christ, empowers them by His Holy Spirit, and gives them a mission for life. By reflecting on Paul’s transformation story, we can discover a roadmap for understanding how we can identify and share our own story in Christ. --- God can do amazing things through ordinary people who are empowered by the Holy Spirit. In the book of Acts, the Holy Spirit was given to all believers and the church was born. The church is God's chosen instrument in the world for sharing the good news about Jesus Christ. The book of Acts is all about the unhindered movement of God throughout the world as the gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed through the church. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the early church was an unstoppable movement that proclaimed the Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ as the only way to eternal life. Today, the church empowered by the Holy Spirit is called to continue God's redeeming work in the world by fulfilling God's mission of making Jesus known to the ends of the earth.

Challenge: The power of a Christian testimony is witnessed in the life change that God brings to a person’s life. People might not like what we have to say about Jesus, but they will never be able to argue with the change that Jesus does in a person’s life. Know your story. Share your story. It is not your job to convert anybody, but it is your job to tell the truth about what Jesus has done for you. Then leave the results up to God.
